Outstanding contribution to comics

Winner: David Alexander

A veteran of the Glasgow comic scene for four decades, David Alexander is as much known for his likeable demeanour as well as his wonderfully intricate pencil and ink work. A look back at his career shows diversity and consistency that few artists can match, his work includes contributions to titles such as Electric Soup, Wasted, Hoof Hearted and Viz. His creations the MacBam Brothers were recently collected in a hefty tome by Braw Books.
